Bringing Home Baby ::Chicco Review::

Autumn James

August 24th

8lbs. 12oz.

Born at 9:35pm

We’ve been home with our precious girl Autumn for a little over a week now! I can’t believe it! Time has flown as we’ve adjusted to becoming a family of five! After being discharged and sent home, just two days later I was back in the hospital with pneumonia, and salmonella poisoning. Both illnesses which we believe I picked up from my hospital stay in the first place. It has been a rough week, and to say that we have loved getting into our new routine and being home is an understatement.

We love soaking in every moment with this girl. Autumn has changed every ounce of our lives.

She’s perfect.

Her birth was perfect, and everything I could have ever imagined. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of how God was paving the way for her perfect entry. After two very traumatic births, I was convinced this would follow the trend but boy was I wrong.

It was peaceful and beautiful.

The best was that after nine months of not knowing if she was a boy of a girl, we finally met and it was the best surprise ever! When the doctor placed her in my arms and I was just shocked that she was a girl. I was happy and instantly filled with tears. That perfect moment I dreamed of the past ten months was totally worth the wait. To receive the best surprise of my life. Plus, I was really convinced that I was having a boy.

After an hour of perfect skin to skin moments together we started to think of names. We didn’t have very many names prepared, so we would just try some on and see if they fit her. She didn’t get her name until about one in the morning. I looked at my husband and said I know what her name is. Autumn.

She’s brought a season of change to our lives, she’s brought beauty and a completely perfect beginning to the next chapter of our lives. Everything that the season autumn brings each year, she brings to us.

After two nights in the hospital we were then discharged and able to go home. Boy were we ready. There’s nothing like being in your own home healing and recovering.

We brought Autumn home in the KeyFit 30 Zip Air Infant Car Seat. We chose this car seat because it’s rated as the number one car seat in America! This car seat has a sleek and beautiful design. It’s also lightweight and easy to install, ensuring that it’s installed correctly every time, with easy latch technology, leveling bubbles, and a one pull five point harness! We love everything about it. It’s so nice! It pairs perfectly with our all new Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller.

*mom’s note: these photos were inside the hospital. The harness was appropriately tightened for the car ride home.

We kept the sex of sweet Autumn a secret for a little longer as we packed up to head home. We had a few visitors stop and meet her, and the reactions we received were so worth the wait too! It was so fun to see others surprised about the sex of Autumn too.

Our family is complete and our hearts are filled to the brim with love and adoration for our three precious angels.

Disclosure:

I was gifted the Chicco KeyFit 30 Zip Air Infant Car Seat and the Chicco Activ3 Air Jogging Stroller, in exchange for my honest review.
